Your WeChat Wallet will open if you’ve linked your foreign banking card, but you might not be able to make a purchase right away.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The simplest way to pay for lunch or things in a store is to tap the money button on your home screen or in your wallet. To make a purchase, you typically scan a vendor’s QR code.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

To send money to a friend or contact, you\u2019ll enter into that contact\u2019s chat and under the menu options find \u201cSend Money\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

You\u2019ll be prompted for the amount, you can choose how to pay (with a card or using your balance) and then easily send the money. It has to be accepted within a certain number of days or the money gets returned to you.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It is also possible to use other payment features within the WeChat Wallet<\/strong>including paying your phone bill, taxis and train tickets, as well as movie passes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
