    This is the most common way to add friends on WeChat. the easiest way, also. What you need to do is sending your WeChat ID to someone who you want them to add you. So they can search your WeChat ID to find you and add you.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    If you don\u2019t know your WeChat ID, you need to open WeChat and click \u201cMe\u201d (Next to the Discover) on the bottom of the screen. You will find your WeChat ID below your WeChat name. Basically, WeChat ID is a random digital, you can change your WeChat ID so that it will be much easier to remember.
    All you need to do is sharing WeChat ID with your friend.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    When you got WeChat ID, you need to search the WeChat ID on the search bar(Search bar is on the top of the screen). It will show \u201cSearch WeChat ID\u201d when you typing WeChat iD on the search bar. Click on that, and you will find your friend.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    2. Adding friends by phone number.<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

    If you got someone\u2019s phone number, you can add them on WeChat easily. There\u2019s one thing you need to know this phone number should be linked to WeChat. You will fail to add friends if their account didn\u2019t link with phone number.
    
    I don\u2019t recommend you let someone who you don\u2019t know to get your phone number. So, you should ensure t someone is reliable before you let them know your phone number. You should always keep that in mind.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    How to find my QR code on WeChat?<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

    You may be wondering, where is my QR code? You need to open WeChat and click \u201cMe\u201d (Next to the Discover) on the bottom of the screen. There\u2019s a little QR code next to your WeChat ID. Click on that, and you will go to the Profile.
    
    And then, you need to click on \u201d My QR Code\u201d. If you want to share QR code with others, you can take a screenshot of the QR code into an image. Or you can click the three dots[\u2026] on the top right of the screen and then click on \u201cSave to Phone\u201d. What you need to do next is sending the QR code image to others.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    How to scan QR code on WeChat?<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

    If someone sends you their QR code, you don\u2019t need to scan the QR code with your camera. What you need to do is long-press the QR code image and then it will pop-up \u201cScan QR Code in Image\u201d. You need to click on that. After that, you can add him or her on WeChat.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    4. Adding friends via Friend Radar.<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

    What\u2019s Friend Radar? Friend Radar is the most efficient way to add friends when they\u2019re in your immediate vicinity.        In this way, you will be required to upload your contacts to WeChat. Which means you can only add friends who are on your mobile contacts and they uploaded too.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

          7. Adding friends via People Nearby.<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

          The People Nearby feature is the most common way to get friends if you don\u2019t know how to get friends on WeChat. it will show you the WeChat users who are close to your location.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

          You can find and add new WeChat friends by using the \u201cPeople Nearby\u201d feature in your \u300cDiscover\u300d tab. This will enable you to add people who are close to your location.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

          2. Tapping \u201cDiscover\u201d on the bottom of the screen.<\/li>\n\n\n\n

             It will pop up a Note if you\u2019re the first time to use People Nearby feature, what you need to do is clicking \u201cOK\u201d to continue.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
          5. Click on someone\u2019s avatar if you\u2019re interested in. And add them.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

             What if you just want Females or Males shows only? Or, What if you don\u2019t want to show your location anymore and you want to clear location? Or, What if you want to check who sent you greetings?

             8. Adding friends via Shake.<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

             How \u201cShake\u201d feature works? When you shake your phone, you will find someone from anywhere in the world who shake the phone at the same time. Once you discover a new WeChat user who you\u2019re interested in you can send a greeting or add him or her.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

             2. Tapping \u201cDiscover\u201d on the bottom of the screen.<\/li>\n\n\n\n

                So now you can shake your phone and it will show you the WeChat user who shake their phone too. It will show the user\u2019s gender and the distance between you two. (The red icon next to the nickname means female, the blue icon means male.)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

                NOTE: Drift bottle feature is no longer supported since 2019. So don\u2019t waste your time on that.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
